For 35 year straight the Rehoboth Children’s Theatre has brought laughter and fun to their stage every summer! This season’s lineup includes three classic children’s tales: Puss in Boots, The Wizard of Oz and The Emperor’s New Clothes.

Pack up your beach chairs and blankets! Located just a few minutes from Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach is home to family-friendly Monday Night movies. Where Dagsworthy Street meets the beach, the free movie showing starts every Monday night of the summer around 8:30 p.m.

Whether your children love to try fun new foods or are happy with a hotdog or hamburger, there is sure to be a food truck they will love at Food Truck Thursday.
Epworth United Methodist Church will be hosting this flavorful evening event every second and fourth Thursday in July and August. With more than ten options to choose from, every member of your family will be able to enjoy their favorite dish for dinner. If your children save room, there are even dessert trucks like SnoYo Frozen Yogurt you can sample from!
With a full schedule of programs during July and August, Cape Henlopen State Park has five or six family-friendly activities to choose from every Tuesday through Saturday! Whether your children would like to learn more about dolphins, tide pools or World War II history, there is a tour you can sign up for.
Events are listed here and you can reserve your spot by calling the State Park at 302-645-6852. Most program fees cost $2 to $5; kayak and boat tours cost $22 to $25.
