Thank You Guests

Beach View Appreciation for guests

Greetings Beach View Guests!

THANK YOU! While this is a simple phrase and a common phrase, it truly encompasses the gratitude that we feel towards each of you.  We had an amazing season; one of the best in this hotel’s history.

That is thanks to amazing guests like you.  While hotels in certain markets continued to struggle with lower occupancy than they were accustomed to, you came to the beach in droves and reinforced what we already expected, travel is back!  Our beach block location is definitely a highlight and major attraction to couples, families and solo travelers alike.  Our occupancy typically begins to increase around Memorial Day and then tapers off towards the end of September. Because many of you were ready to travel, Beach View was nearly full from April through mid-October. You couldn’t wait to get back to the beach and we were excited to welcome you!

Although we had a great season, 2021 was not void of its challenges.  Like many other service industries, the hotel industry was not immune to the labor shortages or the product shortages and delays.  We struggled to maintain a full workforce for most of the season, and many of our team members worked an abundance of hours to ensure proper service levels for our guests.  Finding the perfect team and trying to ensure those that were committed and loyal didn’t burn out was a monumental task.

However, your patience, understanding and kindness meant so much and gave us the fuel we needed to keep going in moments where it would have been easy give up. We received so many great reviews this season. The Beach View team appreciates the encouragement that we received from many of you.  We appreciate how you appreciate us.  Throughout the season we had several delays and shortages in room amenities and food items.  I remember the week we couldn’t get chocolate chip cookies and had to order sugar cookies.  Everyone was supportive, but you were very vocal about how much you missed the normal chocolate chip cookies.  This is just an example of how you pivoted with us as and you realized there were certain things that were beyond our control.  Thank you for being so understanding.

Perhaps you noticed a kid or two on the property. In unprecedented times, we were understanding and accommodating of our workforce. This meant multiple bring-your-child- to-work days throughout the season. In turn, our staff could continue to provide the level of service we and our guests have come to expect… and deserve. Many of you positively commented on this flexibility. Our goal has been, and always will be, to provide a stay that is memorable, enjoyable and relaxing. Together, we delivered on that promise.

Beach View remained in the top 3 on TripAdvisor the entire season! We are humbled by your great reviews, your loyalty, and your willingness to share your experience at our hotel with others. Our entire team works hard to show you, our guests, how much you are valued and appreciated.  When we get those same sentiments in return it is a win-win! We introduced coffee makers in our third floor balcony rooms this season and that was very well received. We are continuing to make more positive additions, so look for them upon your next stay!

Several of you came to visit multiple times this season.  For some, it was your yearly visit, while others we welcomed for the first time.  Whether you were making up for the family vacation you skipped last year, sneaking away from the home office to work from the beach, celebrating an anniversary or birthday, having or attending a wedding on the beach or at one of our local venues, celebrating a bachelor’s or bachelorette weekend, participating in a mother/daughter, father/son, girl’s trip, bros trip, quiet time away, a romantic weekend, a work trip or conference, you showed up and we are grateful!

From our family to yours… THANK YOU for an amazing season!

We could not have done it without you.  See you next year!

In Gratitude,
