Springtime is perfect for a run. It’s neither to cold nor too hot, the air is fresh and the birds are chirping. It’s a great time to shake off those winter blues and get in shape for summer. Lace up your sneakers and come on down to Rehoboth Beach for one of the 5K runs this May!
Enjoy a run for the books at this 5K benefiting the Rehoboth Beach Public Library. Don’t forget to bring the kids—youngsters ages 8 and under can participate in the free Kids’ Run, which comes with a goodie bag. Students can register for $20, and everyone else can register for $25 until May 17th and $30 after that date.
We know you’ll be hungry after your workout, which is why the race fee includes a delicious post-run breakfast taco bar catered by SoDel Concepts! Meet at 8:30 a.m. behind the Rehoboth Beach Public Library on Christian Street, or at 7:30 a.m. at 226 Rehoboth Ave. for same-day registration.
Another run for a good cause is the DeFeet Breast Cancer 5K. All ages can participate in this rain-or-shine event, which offers a timed 5K run, a 5K walk and a one-mile “fun walk.” After the race, enjoy a beer and wine garden for ages 21-plus, a coffee bar and a survivors’ circle of hope. The event takes place from 7 to 10 a.m. at Tanger Outlets. Register for $25 until May 17th, and $30 after.
After a challenging run, it’s time to relax in your charming room at the Beach View Hotel. We’re a short distance from the start of the runs listed above. Book your stay today, and get ready for an unforgettable and active vacation!
