Pair Beer, Dinner and Ferry Fun this Spring

There are so many great things about going on vacation and for adults not having to cook dinner each night is at the top of the list! A spring vacation to Rehoboth Beach is a wonderful way to relax, defrost and savor some gourmet coastal seafood after a long, cold winter. And what better way to enjoy a dinner than with beer pairings? The Cape May-Lewes Ferry will be hosting some delicious dinner events in nearby Lewes, Delaware through April 2016 and here at Beach View Hotel we recommend signing up to join in the flavorful experience.

Dinner will be served by the ferry’s in-house chefs and will be designed to match the ales of a local craft brewery. Each month’s dinner will be accompanied by a different brewery, and there isn’t a bad choice on the list!

Mispillion River

Located in Milford, Delaware, Mispillion River Brewing has a few unique brews for each season. With a catchphrase, “Brewing with calculated randomness,” and drink titles like “Gandalf the White IPA” and “Vader Double Black IPA” this brewery is all about the fun of the crafting experience.

3rd Wave

An award-wining brewery, 3rd Wave Brewing Co. is located in Delmar, Delaware and offers a variety of wheat bears, IPAs, stouts, porters and more. A relaxing coastal spot, their microbrews are perfect for sipping in a beach chair.

Crooked Hammock

A unique spot with a beachy feel, Crooked Hammock Brewery is located on Kings Highway in Lewes, Delaware. With more than ten years of experience, the brewery has a wide variety of craft brews to choose from, including their inaugural ale, “The Wilbon.”

Fordham & Dominion

Originally two separate companies, Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company joined together in 2007 in Dover, Delaware. With a variety of artisan beers, the company offers a delicious array of stouts, IPAs and lagers as well as four classic handcrafted sodas.

Each craft brewery pairing experience costs $59 per person and takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Once you’ve reserved your spot at one of the Cape May-Lewes Ferry dinners, it is time to book your stay at Beach View Hotel. We can’t wait to see you here this spring!
