Annual visitors to the Rehoboth Beach area may have heard that this year’s Polkamotion by the Ocean event was cancelled due to a construction project going on at Rehoboth Beach City Hall. But luckily, the polka festivities are back on at a new location! Polka dancing will continue less than 15 minutes from Beach View Hotel at the W.T. Spooner American Legion Post 17 Pavilion in Lewes, Delaware.
The Polkamotion Open Golf Tournament will continue as well, kicking off the polka-themed celebrations at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14. Participants of all skill levels are welcome to join and should arrive at the Old Landing Golf Course by 9:15 a.m. for registration.
Continue celebrating your Polish heritage – or learning about a new culture – with polka dancing, drinks and snacks Thursday through Saturday evening. The fun takes place at the pavilion grounds from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night. Favorite bands like Polka Family, Eddie Forman Orchestra, Charm City Sound and Polka Country Musicians will keep the crowd on their feet, and there will even be transportation to and from the event! The Jolley Trolley will pick up all polka lovers in the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center parking lot at 5:15 p.m. each night and will drop everyone off at the same spot at 10:15 p.m. Ride passes can be purchased online here.
Kids 16 and under get into Polkamotion by the Ocean for free and adult admission is $15 for each night of dancing. Advanced tickets can be ordered by mail.
Now that you know your favorite September event is back, it’s time to book your stay at Beach View Hotel. We can’t wait to see you here!
