Hoping to tee off at one of the areas many golf courses during your upcoming Rehoboth Beach vacation? Why not turn your golf outing into a way to raise money for a good cause? There are a few different golf tournaments going on this May, providing an opportunity for you and your friends to up the competitive edge of your game.
The first of the three local tournaments taking place this May is the 12th Annual Baywood Classic Golf Tournament. Held on Monday, May 8, 2017, the event supports Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center.
This event is one of our favorites of the spring season, as it is held at an 18-hole championship golf course that offers many man-made ponds and unique challenges.

Hosted at Midway Par 3 in nearby Lewes, Delaware, the 12th Annual Walt Jones Memorial Golf Tournament benefits Sussex County Habitat for Humanity and gives golfers a chance to participate in a morning or afternoon tournament event.
Tee times are 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and both the morning and afternoon event allows registration for up to five individuals in a group. Green fees, prizes and giveaways, lunch and beverages are all covered with your ticket.
The tournament takes place on Friday, May 12, 2017 and tickets can be purchased online at www.sussexcountyhabitat.org.
An event that family members of all ages will love to take part in, the 4th Annual Mini Golf Tournament takes place at Jungle Jim’s on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
Hosted by the First State Community Action Agency, the event includes lunch at King’s Creek Country Club and plenty of fun and games for your whole group!
